Balls, Video Games And Hot Boys!
With the World Cup less than 100 days away, heat’s doing everything we can to get as football clued-up as possible. So when we were invited to the Fifa Interactive World Cup at Cresta shopping centre last Saturday, we couldn’t say no!
We showed up at 9am, and there was already a queue around the block! Loads of guys and girls (a record 466, in fact) showed up to jam a little bit of soccer on the PlayStation 3 consoles the organisers had lined up! We even got to play in official World Cup 2010 stadiums! How cool is that?
But it was down to business quickly, and the boys – and boy, some of them were really, really hot – were button bashing in minutes; all with the aim of claiming top spot and being sent to Barcelona in May to compete in the Interactive World Cup Grand Final. The eventual winner was Collen Ndlovu, who’d never even played video games until that morning! Who knew they were that easy to play?
We had an absolute blast: DJ Switch showed up to provide a li’l background music for the gamers, the boys kept getting hotter, and we even got the hang of playing soccer on PlayStation!
So you’d better watch out, soccer boys… heat’s gone ball crazy!
