Idols: Durban audition stand-outs that will make you laugh and cry!
We have to hand it to M-Net – they’ve certainly upped their game for the sixth season of Idols! Last night’s Durban auditions were so jam-packed with all the ingredients for a hit show, we don’t even know where to start! So, here’s a list of of hits and misses:
HITS
Shylo: (picture above) Shylo nearly had us in tears with her story about being a recovering alcoholic. She certainly impressed all the judges with her powerful voice and there’s no doubt she’ll go far in the competition
Prime: Honestly, no one can turn down a man who breaks down in tears because he’s been given the chance to change his life. Like the judges said, with a little bit of work, there’s no doubt he’ll grow. Plus he’s cute!
Tracey: She’s pretty, has attitude and has a killer voice to go along with it. All the right ingredients that make for the perfect Idol. Randall gave her a no, but we think she’ll win both him and South Africa over.
MISSES
The Gaga impersonator was horrendous. We still don’t know: was that a man or a woman?
Everybody who sang Whitney and MJ should be shot. And to the dude who tried to “represent” metal, dude, Rammstein would be embarrassed. Bad voice, bad hair, bad clothes and a lack of anger... you have however made us happy that we recorded it and whenever we’re sad, we’ll press replay for a smile. Thanks!

I really don't like these two two auditions! Everyone deserves a change to be judged alone, and I don't think that was fair of Mara to say no to that pretty girl after hearing that girl with the quitar and orange pants. She had a pretty good voice!
