When the Top Gear boys roll into town, you know you’re in for an awesome show. And just like the rest of us, celebs love the show too! So it was no surprise that the organisers arranged a bit of a track day at The Dome last Friday, where a couple of famous faces would get the chance to drive like absolute loons and burn donuts ’till their hearts’ content. Just like Jeremy Clarkson and co.

And they did just that! Between Shashi Naidoo, Ryk Neethling, Liezel van der Westhuizen, Elana Afrika and a couple of other stars, they pushed the poor silver Chevy to its limits. Luckily they didn’t have to pay for petrol or tyres… which had to be changed at least three times in less than two hours!

And while the boys were pretty decent behind the wheel, the girls definitely kicked their asses when it came to doing donuts in the parking lot. So much so that everyone stopped to watch (including Ryk, who was leaning over the barrier and gave heat a jean-covered eyeful of Olympic gold medal-winning ass) when former Miss SA Tatum Keshwar (who arrived fashionably late and looked like a model fresh off a Milan Runway) went for her lesson with the pro drivers… Vroom vroom vroom and then some! Along with Shashi, Tatum proved that models are more than just pretty faces – they love going fast too and can seriously handle a car!

After that it was time to watch Jezza, Captain Slow and Sasha Martinengo put on a kick-ass show… but that’s a whole other blog…
