To be fair (pun intended) some experts have spoken out to defend the pop diva, saying that her appearance may come down to the lighting used in the studio. While others believe that the singer wanted to appear paler and “whiter” and is therefore going against her ethnicity by not presenting herself as a proudly black woman.

Tom Cruise wins the wedding dance off!
We all have that uncle at a wedding, you know, the one who takes over the dance floor and shows us his manic moves. And yes Tom Cruise was that guy. Okay, so he was challenged to a dance off by a stranger when he was at the wedding of billionaire Larry Ellison’s son, David. And his moves were quite uhm, awesome. Larry Ellison, btw, is the producer of Tom’s latest Mission Impossible flick, Ghost Protocol and is the 3rd richest man in America!
Celebs party in Durbs!
It’s not often we get flown to Durbs for a party. So when Garden Court Umhlanga had its first birthday bash, we knew we were in for one heck of a jol. Celebs included Zizo Beda, Lucas Radebe, Pixie Bennett and her hot man, Ross Skeate. Of course being Durbs, we were flooded with eye candy in the form of the Sharks rugby players. Yum. One down, many more to come. And you can be sure that we’ll be there for all of them.

Surgery for Freddie!
If you haven’t already heard, Freddie Van’Dango suffered a broken cheekbone after an altercation at a Greenside bar. Although the Idol did appear on the results show the following Tuesday, it seems his injury is far worse than he originally thought! Freddie will be admitted to surgery as soon as possible rather than risking future damage to his face. “We believe that the surgery won’t disrupt the show and trust that our viewers will understand why we made this decision.
