Daniel Radcliffe was the highest paid actor in Hollywood in 2009, according to Vanity Fair’s Top Forty Earners list.

The 20-year-old actor, who plays the title character in the Harry Potter franchise, was paid a staggering £41 million last year according to a list of the top 40 earners by Vanity Fair magazine, making him the most bankable actor in Hollywood. Transformers movie maker Michael Bay was number one on the list, with £79 million, and Steven Spielberg, with £53 million, second. Roland Emmerich, James Cameron and Todd Phillips took the remaining places ahead of Daniel, who was sixth in the list.

Daniel beat his co-star, Emma Watson, who made £30 million, making her the highest earning female on the list. But that w2asn’t the end of the Harry Potter wealth as Rupert Grint made the list too.
