Jessica Simpson has revealed she is looking for a man who can "support" her.
 
The 29-year-old singer, who was been linked to a string of famous men in recent years - including John Meyer who infamously referred to her as “sexual napalm” - claims she now wants someone who can look after her while allowing her to be independent.

She said: "I want a confident man. A man who understands me and can deal with my life and is not embarrassed by my life. And can support my life.

"And allow be to be powerful in the relationship. I'm not going to give up my role in this life to just be a housewife."

However, Jessica also wants her perfect man to be someone who is spiritual and manly.

She told Barbara Walter's radio show: "What is attractive to me about a man is a man's spirituality. Just the way he carries himself. I kind of like a rough man a little bit. A man's man."
