John Voight was delighted when Angelina Jolie invited him to spend some time with her, Brad and the children in Venice last week.
 
Ange cut her father out of her life in 2001 after he said he was worried about her mental health. They were estranged for years, but started speaking again in November last year. The pair were snapped together for the first time in years when Ange Brad, John and the children took a boat ride down venice’s Grand Canal on Sunday.
 
John told Usmagazine.com, "It's nice to have something that's positive! (The canal ride was) lovely. The weather wasn't so bad for the journey. It's a very beautiful trip. A lot of fun.
 
"I love the possibility of spending time with the family. It's a very beautiful thing."
 
We’ll bet he won’t be mouthing off about Angelina’s mental health again any time soon!
