I never thought the day would come where I would choose fat-free yoghurt over cupcakes… but it has.

In one of the many meetings that occur weekly in heat Towers, I was faced with my toughest test to date.

Trays and trays of delicious cupcakes…

Chocolate cupcakes topped with Astros.
Vanilla cupcakes topped with caramel.
Strawberry cupcakes topped with cherries.
Cupcakes.
Cupcakes…
CUPCAKES!

"That's okay," I said. "I've got my yoghurt. Hmmm…"

In three weeks' time, when I’m as thin as a supermodel, I'll eat a cupcake (just one, I swear) to celebrate.

I forgot to pack shoes in my gym bag this morning. Has anyone else ever done that? It’s mortifying.

There you are, half naked, surrounded by other women in various stages of undress… and boom! No shoes.

The fact of the matter is that, at 7.30 in the morning, there isn’t much you can do about not having any footwear. No shoe-selling establishment is open at that hour. And it’s peak traffic time; so driving home to get shoes when you are literally a block away from your office is just ridiculous. Right? Right.

Okay, so it’s day three, our arms are aching from yesterday’s training session and our trainer, Candice de Mendonca, has us working our legs. This is what I’ve been waiting for, because my legs are the bane of my existence at the moment. And oh boy, did it burn! Right now, I’m sitting at my desk twitching in the bum, upper thigh and calf area. It feels weird, but kinda cool at the same time. I imagine muscles knitting and tightening (that is what they do, right?) into a more perfect shape as I type. Hmmm ...
