Getting bikini ready with Bonang – by Pam Wolstenholme
If you’ve seen our super-hot bikini shoot with Bonang Mathebe in this week’s issue, I’m sure you’re wandering how she keeps her bod in such damn good shape! I made sure I got all her stay-in-shape tips at the shoot, so we too can have a hope of looking that good in a bikini by the summer holidays!
Wow, Bonang – you look amazing in our shoot! How do you keep your body in such good shape? I’m green with envy…
Thanks, I make sure that I’m active for at least 30 minutes a day. That means either walking, jogging, climbing or cycling… any activity that gets your heart pumping. I also do Zumba dancing at Virgin Active every Monday and Wednesday.
Sounds like fun, but what is Zumba dancing?
It’s like a Latin American, Caribbean style of dancing. It’s a mix of lots of styles really; it’s also sexy and a real work-out while staying fun at the same time. I never miss a session!
So you’re not big on dieting then?
No, but I don’t eat any dairy, and I make sure that I drink loads of water – at least 2l a day. That also helps keep my skin clear and glowing.
Any other favourite skin tips?
Apart from drinking water, I use Neutrogena products on my face, quality make-up like MAC on my skin, and I always wear sun block – it’s my beauty essential!
