Trained dresses
We got the feeling that with all the long dress trains, the red carpet was a little too bridal this year! J-lo should have toned hers down!

Printed dresses
Most of the dresses were pretty pastels and nudes, with lots of sparkles. But we think Maggie Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams were onto something with their printed dresses – Maggie’s Dries van Noten printed and fitted floor-length dress is a striking colour and modern, while Rachel’s more traditional ball gown is made modern and edgy with a washed-out print. Well done, ladies, for nailing this upcoming trend!
